Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has advised Kylian Mbappe to stay humble, emphasizing that there are many stars at Real Madrid and no one player is above the rest.
Fabio Capello, former head coach of Real Madrid, has issued a warning to Kylian Mbappe following the French forward's high-profile move to the Spanish giants. Capello emphasized that there is no single star at Real Madrid, advising Mbappe to work hard and remain grounded alongside his many talented teammates.
Mbappe joined Los Blancos on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in June, after years of speculation about his future. Although he struggled initially, the 25-year-old striker has recently found his form, scoring six goals in his last eight appearances. However, injuries have hindered his progress, forcing him to miss recent matches and causing his exclusion from the national team by Didier Deschamps.
Capello, speaking to TMW, delivered a subtle reminder to Mbappe about Real Madrid’s team dynamic. "When a big star goes to Real Madrid, he has to understand he has to work like any other player. At Real Madrid, there’s not one star, but many," Capello said, suggesting that Mbappe must adjust to being part of a collective, rather than expecting special treatment.
Despite his comments, Capello expressed confidence in current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti to handle the situation. "I think Carlo Ancelotti needs time, but he knows a lot of things. Soon, Carlo will find the right balance to achieve victories," he added.
Real Madrid will resume their campaign after the international break with a La Liga clash against Celta Vigo on October 19th. Mbappe is expected to return to full fitness for the game, as he looks to continue his goal-scoring form.
