Miha Zajc returns to Fenerbahce after an underwhelming loan at Toulouse, but Jose Mourinho still doesn’t see him in his plans. A loan or transfer is likely.
Because Jose Mourinho did not count on him last season, Miha Zajc was loaned to French side Toulouse, where he struggled to make an impact. The Slovenian midfielder featured mostly as a substitute and failed to secure a consistent role in the team.
With his loan spell in France now over, Zajc returns to Fenerbahce, but his future remains uncertain. The 30-year-old still has one year left on his contract with the Turkish giants, yet Mourinho has already made it clear that the Slovenian is not part of his plans for the upcoming season.
According to Turkish media, Fenerbahce are actively exploring options to loan or sell Zajc. The club would prefer a permanent solution, but as of now, they’re open to another loan spell. Three Turkish clubs have been named as potential destinations: Kocaelispor, Genclerbirligi, and Fatih Karagumruk.
Zajc previously played for Olimpija in Slovenia and has been with Fenerbahce since 2019. However, with limited playing time and no place in Mourinho’s squad, his next move could be crucial for reviving his career.
