Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson received medical attention at Old Trafford after feeling unwell ahead of the Liverpool match, but later left the stadium in stable condition.
Sir Alex Ferguson experienced a health scare at Old Trafford before Manchester United’s match against Liverpool in the Premier League.
The 84-year-old former manager was present at the stadium ahead of the high-profile fixture when he began to feel unwell.
Medical staff responded quickly and attended to him in the Stretford End tunnel.
Immediate medical response
Ferguson was then taken to an ambulance positioned at the stadium, where he received further checks.
According to reports, he was conscious and sitting upright during the assessment.
A source stated that he was “okay” before leaving Old Trafford and heading home shortly after.
Manchester United has not issued an official statement on the situation.
A constant presence at Old Trafford
Ferguson remains a regular at United’s home matches, where he has a reserved place in the directors’ box.
The legendary manager retired in 2013 after leading the club to 13 Premier League titles, shaping one of the most successful eras in football history.
Following his retirement, he served as a club ambassador for 12 years. That role ended last year after changes introduced by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The incident caused concern among supporters. Still, early indications suggest Ferguson avoided serious complications.
