According to transfer insider Nicolò Schira, Josip Brekalo will spend the season on loan at Turkish club Kasımpaşa.
Former Croatian international Josip Brekalo, who has been on the sidelines at Fiorentina, has secured a loan move to Kasımpaşa in Turkey. After spending six months on loan at Hajduk Split, Brekalo returned to Italy but was unable to break into Fiorentina’s lineup.
There had been talks of a potential transfer to Getafe, but nothing materialized before the transfer window closed in most European countries. However, Turkish clubs are still able to sign players, and Kasımpaşa took advantage of this opportunity.
According to Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira, the deal is finalized for Brekalo to join Kasımpaşa on a one-year loan. The winger, who has 35 caps for Croatia, has two years remaining on his contract with Fiorentina, but he has yet to play a single minute for the Italian side this season.
