The 27-year-old forward moved to Serbia last year from Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen, a career switch that provided exactly what he needed to reignite his form. Sokler enjoyed a fantastic campaign in the Serbian Superliga, finishing the season with 15 goals.

His impressive goalscoring exploits did not go unnoticed on the international stage either. Slovenian national team manager Boštjan Cesar handed Sokler his senior international debut just last month, during a friendly match against Cyprus in June.

Now, his standout performances in Serbia are set to land him the most lucrative contract of his career. While Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, Partizan, and Vojvodina all expressed concrete interest in keeping him in the country, none could match the financial power of the Israeli champions, who moved quickly to meet Radnički's valuation.

Only the final details remain before the transfer is officially completed. Maccabi Tel Aviv will become the third foreign club for Sokler, who started his professional career with Krško and Brežice before making his breakthrough abroad via Celje and Radomlje in 2023.
