Christophe Galtier has signed a lucrative deal to coach Saudi side Neom SC after leaving Al Duhail. He’ll manage Alexandre Lacazette at the government-backed project club.

Christophe Galtier has landed another high-paying managerial role, this time in Saudi Arabia, just days after parting ways with Al Duhail in Qatar. The former Paris Saint-Germain boss is the new head coach of Neom SC, a rebranded club tied to the ambitious Neom city project.

The Frenchman joins Neom on a contract reportedly lasting at least two seasons, and although financial terms haven’t been disclosed, it’s understood Galtier will continue to earn at the top end of the managerial pay scale—just as he did in Paris and Doha.

Neom SC is not a brand-new club but has been recently acquired and renamed to reflect its association with Saudi Arabia’s futuristic Neom city development. The project enjoys direct government backing, which signals both strong financial support and long-term ambitions.

The club’s first European marquee signing is Alexandre Lacazette, who arrives from Lyon and will play a key role in Galtier’s plans. The 57-year-old coach is expected to build a competitive squad capable of challenging domestically and attracting further international talent.

Galtier has had an eventful managerial career, guiding Lille to a historic Ligue 1 title in 2021 before managing Nice and then PSG, where he won the league but struggled in Europe. His most recent stint at Al Duhail added another international chapter to his resume.

Meanwhile, Galtier’s son Jordan Galtier is also making waves in coaching. The 36-year-old currently serves as assistant coach at Toulouse in France’s Ligue 1, continuing the family’s growing influence in the football world.
