Real Madrid will officially begin their new season tomorrow in Warsaw, where they will take on Europa League winners Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final.
This season promises even more attention for the reigning European champions, especially with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. Many are hailing this current Real Madrid squad as potentially even more spectacular than the original Galacticos.
The big question that has been on everyone’s mind is whether Mbappe will start in the first eleven alongside Vinicius, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo. According to the Madrid newspaper AS, this won’t be the case.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to field the same starting lineup that won the Champions League against Dortmund, with two adjustments due to the departures of Nacho and the retirement of Toni Kroos. Eder Militao is likely to replace Nacho, and new captain Luka Modrić will step in for Kroos.
Mbappe, along with Endrick, is expected to start on the bench but could make his debut in a Real Madrid shirt during the match.
