Napoli have revived their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho, with Manchester United open to a sale due to PSR concerns. The winger is reportedly valued at €50 million.
Napoli are once again targeting Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho as a top transfer priority this summer, delivering a blow to Chelsea who were also interested in the Argentine earlier in the season.
According to Cristiano Abbruzzese via Area Napoli, Antonio Conte's Napoli have identified Garnacho as the ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in January. The Serie A leaders failed in their attempts to sign Garnacho during the winter window but are now ready to return with a formal offer.
Garnacho, 20, is seen as a viable target not just because of his talent, but also due to United's financial position. With pressure mounting around Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Manchester United are reportedly open to selling players this summer—especially academy products like Garnacho, whose transfer fee would be recorded as full profit.
His reported price tag is €50 million (£42.5m), and Napoli are said to be confident of securing the Argentine winger, particularly if they can wrap up the Serie A title. Conte's side currently top the table and could offer Champions League football next season, making Naples an attractive destination.
Despite the speculation, Garnacho remains under contract until 2028 and has enjoyed a productive campaign at Old Trafford, contributing 10 goals and 9 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. He is expected to feature in United’s Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Club on Thursday.
