Georgina Rodríguez has responded to the wave of criticism aimed at her appearance with a powerful message about body confidence, self-love and acceptance.

While enjoying a family holiday on the Italian island of Sardinia, the partner of Cristiano Ronaldo shared a series of swimsuit photos on Instagram accompanied by an emotional statement after receiving numerous negative comments about her figure in recent weeks.

"Every summer the same thing happens. Every year my body becomes news again," Rodríguez wrote.

The 32-year-old model admitted that the constant public scrutiny has not been easy, but said she refuses to let criticism define how she feels about herself.

"My body will change, just as every woman's body changes. And I hope it keeps changing for many more years because that will mean I'm still alive."

She questioned society's obsession with appearance and challenged the idea that happiness or personal value should be linked to body shape.

"Where is the standard? Who decides what the 'right' body is? Do we still believe that happiness has a dress size?"

Rodríguez also explained that exercise has never been about chasing unrealistic beauty standards.

"I work out because it makes me happy. It gives me health, peace, discipline, energy and well-being. It was never about losing weight. It has always been about taking care of myself."

She revealed that the hurtful comments once left her feeling anxious and that she turned to Ronaldo for reassurance.

"I told Cristiano: 'I'm worried because people say I'm fat. I live from my image.'"

According to Rodríguez, Ronaldo immediately reminded her what truly matters.

"You don't live from your image. You live from who you are. You are a beautiful woman, a wonderful mother, a good person and successful. What more could you want? It's completely normal that people envy you."

The Portuguese superstar later commented on her Instagram post with a short but affectionate message: "My love."

Rodríguez also received public support from Antonela Roccuzzo, the wife of Lionel Messi, who joined thousands of followers in praising her message.

She ended her post with the words that resonated most strongly with her audience.

"I love my curves. I love living freely in the body that carries me, that has allowed me to hug others, create life, fall and get back up again. This body deserves respect, love and gratitude in every stage."
