Barcelona officials have announced that Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong will be in the squad for tonight’s Champions League match against Young Boys.
Barcelona will host Young Boys tonight in their second Champions League match, and a win is almost a necessity, as the Catalans suffered a 1-2 defeat to Monaco in the first round after Eric Garcia was sent off early.
Barcelona currently has a long list of injured players, but the good news is the return of Dutchman Frenkie de Jong, who last played on April 22.
De Jong has received the green light from the medical team and will be in the squad for tonight’s game, where he might even make his debut under new coach Hansi Flick.
De Jong has been a Barcelona player since 2019 and has made 213 appearances for the club so far.
