Hansi Flick continues collecting trophies and recognition in Spain.
The Barcelona coach has officially been named La Liga coach of the season after leading the Catalan giants to another league title in the 2025/26 campaign.
The award adds another chapter to an impressive start to life in Spanish football.
Flick only arrived at Barcelona in 2024 after his spell with the German national team.
Since then, success has followed quickly.
Hansi Flick's record at Barcelona so far:
• Two La Liga titles
• One Copa del Rey trophy
• Contract extended until 2028
• Established Barcelona among Europe's elite again
The German coach recently committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension until 2028.
He has also openly spoken about his next major target.
The Champions League.
Flick recently admitted he wants to bring European glory back to Barcelona and experience success when the renovated Camp Nou operates at full capacity again.
There were other candidates for the award.
One of the strongest challengers was Jose Bordalas.
The experienced Getafe coach impressed by guiding his team into European competition places despite working with far smaller resources.
His future remains uncertain.
Bordalas' contract expires at the end of June, and reports suggest he will move elsewhere, with several clubs from the Premier League monitoring him.
His defensive style continues dividing opinions, but results have again worked in his favor.
For Flick, though, this season belonged to him.
After proving himself previously with Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim, he has now firmly established himself in Spanish football too.
The only major question left before next season concerns scheduling.
La Liga has still not fully confirmed whether the new campaign starts on August 15 or August 22.
