Harry Kane continues rewriting Bundesliga history at Bayern Munich and is now closing in on another legendary record held by Gerd Müller.
Harry Kane continues to produce historic numbers for Bayern Munich, and another season like this would place him alongside the legendary Gerd Müller in the Bundesliga record books.
The England captain scored a hat-trick last night as Bayern crushed Cologne 5-1 in the final round of the Bundesliga season.
Kane finished the league campaign with an incredible 36 goals in only 31 matches, continuing the remarkable consistency he has shown since arriving from Tottenham in 2023.
The achievement places him in elite company.
Kane has now recorded at least 36 Bundesliga goals in two separate seasons. Only Bayern icon Gerd Müller managed to reach those numbers more often, doing it in three different campaigns.
Considering Kane’s current form and physical condition, matching that legendary record next season suddenly looks realistic.
Bayern’s attack has been unstoppable throughout the campaign.
Alongside Kane, both Michael Olise and Luis Diaz also contributed massively, helping Bayern score a stunning 122 Bundesliga goals this season.
The all-time record among Europe’s top five leagues remains 125 goals, set by Torino.
There is still one final challenge remaining for Bayern before the season officially ends.
The Bavarian giants will face Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final on May 23 at 20:00.
Stuttgart finished fourth in the Bundesliga and is searching for its fifth German Cup trophy. Their last triumph came during the 2024/25 season.
Bayern, meanwhile, are by far the competition’s most successful club with 20 cup titles. Their most recent victory arrived in the 2019/20 campaign.
Kane joined Bayern for around €95 million, a transfer that increasingly looks like one of the smartest investments in the club’s modern history.
