Rasmus Hojlund is set to remain at Napoli permanently after rediscovering his form in Serie A following a difficult period at Manchester United.
Rasmus Hojlund appears to have found stability again after a difficult spell connected to Manchester United.
The Danish striker is currently enjoying a productive season with Napoli, where he has rebuilt both confidence and form in Serie A.
Meanwhile, attention at Manchester United has shifted toward Benjamin Sesko, who has impressed in his debut Premier League season.
The Slovenian striker has already become United’s top scorer with 11 league goals, increasing the feeling among supporters that the club has moved beyond the expensive gamble they made on Hojlund.
Manchester United originally paid around €80 million for the Danish forward, but he never fully established himself at Old Trafford.
Back in Italy, however, the former Atalanta striker has looked far more comfortable.
Hojlund has scored 10 goals in 30 Serie A matches this season and has reached 14 goals in all competitions.
The 23-year-old also remains an important player for the Denmark national team, where he has already scored 13 goals in 33 appearances.
His future now appears fully connected to Napoli.
According to reports from Italy, the club will activate the agreement to sign him permanently after securing qualification for the Champions League.
The deal reportedly includes a mandatory purchase clause worth €50 million.
Napoli have already paid around €6 million for the initial loan, meaning the remaining payment should total approximately €44 million.
At this point, the transfer is considered a formality, with the final decision already effectively made internally.
For Hojlund, the move represents an opportunity to fully restart his career away from the pressure and expectations that surrounded him in England.
