Hulk, the legendary Brazilian forward, has expressed openness to joining Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, where he could reunite with global superstar Lionel Messi.
Despite being 38 years old, the striker remains confident in his ability to perform at the highest level and believes he has "many more" seasons left in his career.
Currently playing for Atletico Mineiro in Brazil, Hulk has been prolific in front of goal and isn’t ruling out extending his career beyond his 40th birthday in 2026. Speaking to CNN Esportes, Hulk said, *"I have two more years on my contract with Galo, but I love playing football. If God allows me to play for many more years, I will continue to play, but I will do so at a high level. When I can no longer keep up with the boys, then it will be better to retire."*
Hulk Eyes a Move to the U.S.
Having previously played in Europe with Porto and Zenit, and spending five seasons in China with Shanghai SIPG, Hulk is no stranger to adapting to new leagues. The idea of playing in the U.S. excites him, not only for the football but also for the lifestyle. *"Without a doubt, having the opportunity to work and combine business with pleasure, and living in the United States for the lifestyle, the safety, for everything, that’s really cool. It’s a country that gives you a lot,"* he added.
Hulk’s potential move would place him among other big-name stars in MLS, including Messi and Luis Suarez. His proven record at the highest levels of football, including earning 49 caps for Brazil, makes him an attractive prospect for MLS clubs looking to bolster their squads and boost their marketing appeal ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which the U.S. will co-host.
A Career of Iconic Moments
Known for his powerful strikes and physical presence, Hulk has had a storied career that includes domestic and international success. While he continues to thrive in Brazil, his willingness to take on new challenges could see him add another chapter to his illustrious journey in the U.S.
With his contract at Atletico Mineiro set to expire in two years, the door remains open for Hulk to make his move to MLS, where he could join Messi in captivating audiences on and off the pitch.
