Jose Mourinho has reportedly returned to the same luxury La Finca villa he occupied during his first spell at Real Madrid, complete with a pool, huge gardens, and extraordinary privacy.

Jose Mourinho has returned to Real Madrid after 13 years, and the Portuguese coach has apparently decided that one familiar part of his previous life in the Spanish capital did not need changing.
His home.
According to reports in Spain and elsewhere in Europe, Mourinho has moved back into the same spectacular villa in La Finca where he lived during his first spell as Real Madrid coach between 2010 and 2013.
The numbers alone explain why the property is attracting attention. The villa reportedly offers around 1,400 square metres of living space, sits on a plot exceeding 5,000 square metres and costs approximately €20,000 per month to rent.
That works out at around €240,000 every year simply for Mourinho's Madrid home.
Why Mourinho returned to La Finca
La Finca has long been one of Madrid's preferred residential areas for footballers, celebrities and wealthy business figures.
Mourinho's villa is reportedly situated in Los Lagos, one of the most exclusive sections of the development. Privacy and security are among the area's biggest attractions, with access carefully controlled.
For somebody with Mourinho's public profile, those characteristics have obvious appeal.
The Portuguese has spent decades as one of football's most recognisable coaches, meaning finding privacy away from stadiums, training grounds and cameras is difficult.
La Finca offers him exactly that.
1,400 square metres, a pool and an internal lift
The villa itself is spread across two main floors and a basement, with an internal elevator connecting the different levels.
Large rooms, high ceilings and extensive glass surfaces dominate the interior, while the property also features considerable outdoor space.
Outside, Mourinho reportedly has access to a large private swimming pool, landscaped gardens and several areas designed for relaxation.
With more than 5,000 square metres surrounding the house, the Real Madrid coach has plenty of space without sacrificing the privacy that initially attracted him to the property.
There is another feature particularly suited to one of football's most obsessive tacticians.
Mourinho reportedly has his own tactical analysis area
Recent reports claim the property includes a dedicated space where Mourinho can hold tactical meetings and analyse matches.
That effectively gives him a private working environment away from Real Madrid's training facilities.
The house is also reportedly fitted with an extensive sound system that allows music to be played throughout the property.
For Mourinho, therefore, the villa combines his private and professional requirements under one roof.
€20,000 every month
All of this comes with an extraordinary rental bill.
Mourinho reportedly pays approximately €20,000 each month, the same figure widely reported during his first spell in Madrid.
At that rate, three years in the property would cost around €720,000 in rent.
Yet Mourinho already knows exactly what he is paying for. He lived at the address throughout his first Real Madrid spell, when he became one of the central figures in an intense period of Spanish football.
Alejandro Sanz lived there before Mourinho
The villa also has an interesting celebrity history.
Before Mourinho moved into the property, it was reportedly occupied by famous Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz.
Sanz was reported to have paid approximately €11,000 per month, considerably less than the figure later associated with Mourinho's tenancy.
During Mourinho's first period in La Finca, he was surrounded by familiar faces from the football world.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka were among the high-profile Real Madrid players associated with the exclusive area during the same era.
Mourinho returns after 13 years
Mourinho's return to the villa completes another familiar part of his Madrid comeback.
The Portuguese has returned to the Real Madrid bench more than a decade after leaving the Spanish giants and has been entrusted with a contract running until June 2029.
During his first spell, Mourinho won La Liga and the Copa del Rey while competing against one of Barcelona's greatest teams.
His second spell brings a different challenge, but Mourinho has chosen a familiar base from which to attack it.
Thirteen years later, Mourinho is back at Real Madrid and back at his old address. At around €20,000 per month, familiarity certainly does not come cheaply.
