Inter Miami announces 2025 preseason friendlies in Peru, Panama, and other locations, as Lionel Messi’s team prepares for the Club World Cup and MLS season.
Inter Miami, led by star player Lionel Messi, announced two additional preseason friendlies on Friday, marking the club’s debut matches in Peru and Panama.
"We’re very excited to unveil five games against local and international opponents across the Americas as we prepare for the highly anticipated 2025 season," said Raúl Sanllehí, the club’s president of football operations, in a statement.
The team officially begins preseason training on January 13, with their first friendly scheduled five days later, against Club América of Mexico in Las Vegas.
Preseason match schedule:
- January 29: Universitario (Peru) in Lima, marking their first game in South America.
- February 2: Sporting San Miguelito (Panama) in Panama City.
- February 8: Olimpia (Honduras) in San Pedro Sula.
- February 14: Orlando City in Tampa, Florida, concluding the preseason series.
Under the guidance of Argentine coach Javier Mascherano, Inter Miami is gearing up for a demanding 2025 season, which includes competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, the Concacaf Champions League, and the MLS.
