Inter Milan eyes Leicester City’s Mads Hermansen as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer, with the 24-year-old promising shot-stopper valued at €20 million.
Inter Milan is actively pursuing a new goalkeeper, with Leicester City’s Mads Hermansen emerging as a top target. The Nerazzurri are preparing for a demanding 2025 season, balancing Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, and the Club World Cup, and see the 24-year-old Dane as a key addition.
Inter’s current first-choice goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, is 36 years old, prompting the club to consider a younger alternative. Hermansen, who has been one of Leicester’s standout performers despite their struggles in the Premier League, fits the profile perfectly. The club is also looking to phase out older options like Raffaele Di Gennaro (31) and bring fresh energy to the squad.
Although Hermansen’s Transfermarkt valuation stands at €12 million, Leicester is reportedly demanding €20 million for their prized asset. The Danish international has cemented his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising goalkeepers, becoming a crucial player under manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Despite Leicester’s struggles this season, Hermansen has managed to shine. Since joining the team, he has played 60 matches, conceding 72 goals and keeping 14 clean sheets. However, in the current campaign, he has already let in 31 goals in 16 games, reflecting the challenges of Leicester’s defensive setup.
