Inter prepares a massive offer for Mohamed Salah, planning to sell three players to secure his signature. The Egyptian star is still undecided on his post-Liverpool future.
Mohamed Salah has sent shockwaves through Liverpool and its fans after admitting his future at the club is uncertain. Following Liverpool's 3-2 victory over Southampton last weekend, where Salah was the star, the Egyptian forward made an unexpected statement in the post-match mixed zone, fueling speculation about his departure.
Salah, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, revealed that the club hasn’t offered him a renewal: “I’m probably more out than in. I haven’t received any offer. It’s almost December, and there’s no extension offer for me,” Salah told reporters. He added: “I’ve been here for many years. There’s no club like Liverpool, but there’s also no offer to stay. In the end, it’s not in my hands. Of course, I’m disappointed with the situation.”
Inter leads the race for Salah
While there has been ongoing speculation about Salah’s next destination, with Saudi Arabian clubs reportedly offering lucrative deals, the 31-year-old forward is said to prioritize staying in Europe to compete at the highest level. One club making their intentions clear is Inter, who are prepared to go all-in for Salah this summer.
Inter has reportedly informed Salah’s camp that they are willing to make significant changes to their squad to afford his wages. According to reports, they plan to offload Marko Arnautović, Mehdi Taremi, and Joaquín Correa to free up space in their budget and secure Salah’s signature. This bold move demonstrates how highly Inter values Salah as a potential key figure in their project.
In addition to Inter, Salah has also been linked with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG. Meanwhile, Saudi club Al Ittihad is reportedly offering him the most substantial financial package, but Salah appears unwilling to leave Europe just yet.
Despite Salah’s candid remarks, Liverpool is unlikely to give up on their star forward so easily. Reports suggest that the club will present him with a new contract offer in an effort to retain him, though they’ll face stiff competition from European giants and wealthy Saudi suitors.
As the season progresses, Salah’s decision will remain one of the most closely watched transfer sagas in football, with his future set to define the summer market.
