Inter Milan have completed the signing of Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma, strengthening their attacking options with the highly-rated 21-year-old French striker.
The Serie A giants paid €23 million to secure Bonny’s transfer, handing him a five-year contract after the forward impressed with consistent performances in Italy’s second tier.
Bonny scored six goals and provided four assists in 37 appearances last season, helping Parma in their promotion push and catching the attention of several Serie A clubs. Despite the interest, the striker opted to join this year’s Champions League finalists.
The move comes four years after Bonny left Châteauroux in France to join Parma, where he developed into one of the country’s top young attacking prospects. Born in Aubervilliers, Bonny currently represents France’s U21 team but is also eligible to play for the Ivory Coast.
At Inter, Bonny joins an already fierce competition for minutes, with Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram leading the attack under new head coach Cristiano Chivu. His role in the team remains to be seen, but the club clearly sees long-term potential in the young striker.
Parma, meanwhile, benefit significantly from the deal, filling their coffers as they return to Serie A. Bonny’s sale represents one of the club’s biggest recent financial moves.
