Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has firmly denied allegations linking him to an investigation into an alleged child prostitution network, as his legal team dismissed the claims against the Italy international.

According to reports in Italy, Bastoni declined to appear at the Milan Prosecutor's Office after receiving what is known as a "blind summons", an invitation that does not disclose the precise reason for the meeting in advance.

His lawyer, Salvatore Scuto, strongly rejected the allegations.

"I categorically rule out the possibility of Alessandro Bastoni having paid for sex, especially with a minor," Scuto said.

The investigation reportedly concerns an alleged escort agency based in Cinisello Balsamo, near Milan, which prosecutors believe organized exclusive parties attended by footballers and other high-profile figures.

Girl also denies the allegations

According to the reports, the case centers on an alleged meeting between Bastoni and a 17-year-old girl in July 2020.

However, the woman has reportedly denied the accusations during her testimony.

"I'm not a prostitute, and I didn't take money for sex," she reportedly told investigators.

Italian authorities are continuing their investigation and are also expected to question other Serie A players, including Riccardo Calafiori and Kevin Bonifazi, as witnesses in connection with the broader inquiry.

Investigation continues

Investigators are examining the activities of the alleged escort agency, which is said to have organized all-inclusive private events attended by footballers and other VIP guests. Italian media reports claim that around 70 individuals from the worlds of football and sport have been linked to those events, although being named in the investigation does not imply criminal wrongdoing.

Bastoni has been with Inter since 2017, spending loan spells at Atalanta and Parma before becoming one of the club's key defenders. The left-footed centre-back has also established himself as a regular for Italy and has recently been linked with potential moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

At this stage, no verdict has been reached; the investigation remains ongoing, and Bastoni continues to deny any wrongdoing.
