Lautaro Martinez is struggling to score this season, but Inter coach Simone Inzaghi defends the striker, saying the team has full confidence in his abilities.

Inter Milan is standing firmly behind Lautaro Martinez despite the Argentine striker’s uncharacteristic goal drought. Martinez, who scored an impressive 24 goals in Serie A last season and 21 in each of the two prior campaigns, is experiencing a sharp dip in form during the current season. So far, he has managed to score just five goals in Serie A and one in the Champions League, with his last goal coming over a month and a half ago.

Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi, a former striker himself, has called for patience and trust in Martinez, emphasizing that the 26-year-old’s instincts in front of goal will inevitably return.

"I was a striker, and I know how this feels," said Inzaghi. "I told Lautaro to relax. He’s always scored goals and will continue to do so. Luck will turn his way. The real problem would be if he weren’t creating chances at all."

Despite Martinez’s struggles, Inzaghi continues to see the striker as an integral part of Inter’s attack. The coach’s public support highlights the club’s commitment to backing their players even in challenging periods.
