Jack Grealish shared an update from his recovery after foot surgery following a stress fracture suffered during his Everton loan spell this season.
Jack Grealish offered fans an update on his recovery after undergoing season-ending foot surgery during his loan spell at Everton.
The 30-year-old midfielder suffered a stress fracture during a Premier League match against Aston Villa in January. The injury required surgery and ruled him out for the rest of the season.
In a post on Instagram, Grealish shared several images from the early stages of his rehabilitation. One photo showed him moving with a knee scooter, while others captured gym sessions and recovery work.
His injured foot remained heavily wrapped and protected by a medical boot.
"4 weeks post op and working hard to be back better and stronger than ever."
The post quickly drew support from fellow footballers including James Maddison, Nathan Aké, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Jake Livermore.
Fans also flooded the comments with encouragement.
"Speedy recovery Jack. We miss seeing you out on that pitch."
"Get well soon mate."
Shortly after the surgery, Grealish admitted frustration with the situation but expressed determination to return stronger.
"Didn't want the season to end like this, but that's football, gutted. Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit."
"I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before."
The midfielder also thanked everyone connected with Everton for their support.
"The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible, and I absolutely love representing this club."
During his loan spell from Manchester City, Grealish made 20 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
His future remains open ahead of the summer transfer window. Everton reportedly hold an option to sign him permanently for around £50 million, while Manchester City still have one year remaining on his contract.
