Jordan Henderson faces criticism for his performance at Ajax, with Rafael van der Vaart expressing disappointment over his contribution to the team, which is struggling this season.

Ajax, after a catastrophic half of the season, assessed that the team needed an experienced leader, and nobody could fault them for thinking Englishman Jordan Henderson fit this criterion on paper. The former Liverpool captain, after terminating his contract in Saudi Arabia, came in as a player supposed to unite a scattered team, but after the first four games, he too faced criticism for failing to secure a win in any match as a member of Ajax.

Rafael van der Vaart, known for his sharp comments, labeled Henderson as a player who brings nothing new to the team.

"This season, Ajax has brought in players with 'zero' quality. They're not going to achieve anything; they're just going to end the season. They brought in Jordan Henderson. All he does is pass backwards and a few long balls. Nobody can be satisfied with that."

"We'll see what happens against Bodo/Glimt, but it would be best for Ajax to get knocked out of Europe and start rebuilding. As an Ajax fan, I don't even know what to say about this team anymore," van der Vaart stated.
