Fenerbahçe is close to signing Youssef En-Nesyri as a replacement for Edin Džeko, who is being linked with a move to Hajduk Split.
News from Fenerbahçe has been closely followed by Hajduk Split fans in recent weeks. The reason is, of course, Edin Džeko and his potential move to the Split club. Various media outlets, especially Turkish ones, have written extensively about it, and potential excitement has been fueled by hints found in posts by Džeko and his wife.
Džeko is currently in training in Austria and has not given any concrete indication that he might be heading to Split. In fact, he has recently posted photos on Instagram from the Turkish team's training camp in Austria.
However, insiders believe the issue lies in the departure of Michy Batshuayi, and before Džeko can leave, a replacement must be found. That replacement is expected to be Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, who is known to be a target of José Mourinho. Recent information suggests that nearly everything has been agreed upon, and the Moroccan should soon join the Turkish vice-champions.
