Joshua Kimmich has spoken publicly about his ongoing contract situation at Bayern Munich, dismissing claims that he is holding out for more money.

The German midfielder, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has yet to commit to a new deal, and Bayern have already withdrawn their initial offer.

While Kimmich remains a key player for Bayern, the club is pressuring him to make a decision soon, as they will not wait indefinitely. However, the 29-year-old has made it clear that his stance is not driven by greed.

“I don’t feel like I’m too greedy. It’s not that I want to squeeze every last euro out of the club, and Max Eberl knows that very well. We’ve spoken several times. He’s a very honest person and is working very hard in this situation. I personally appreciate that a lot.”

Interest from European giants

Kimmich also acknowledged that he has options beyond Bayern, though he did not disclose specific clubs. However, reports have linked him with moves to Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, while Arsenal have also emerged as a strong contender for his signature.

As speculation grows, Kimmich has confirmed that he will announce his decision before the upcoming international break and potentially before Bayern’s return leg against Bayer Leverkusen.
