Juventus have named Damien Comolli as their new CEO. The former Toulouse president will take charge of football, marketing, and commercial departments starting June 2025.
Juventus have officially announced the appointment of Damien Comolli as the club's new chief executive officer, marking a significant shift in the Italian giant’s sporting and commercial strategy.
The French executive, previously the president of Toulouse, will begin his tenure on June 4, 2025, and will oversee the club’s men’s football operations, as well as its marketing and commercial departments, the Turin-based club confirmed on Sunday.
"I am honoured and privileged to join a club with such a rich history, clear identity, and ambitious vision. From day one, I will dedicate my experience to Juventus with the ultimate goal of winning, as is rightly expected by our fans," said Comolli, 53, in a club statement.
Comolli is widely recognized for his data-oriented recruitment model. He previously held sporting director roles at AS Saint-Étienne, Liverpool, and Fenerbahçe, before taking over Toulouse in 2020 when the club was acquired by RedBird Capital Partners.
Under his leadership, Toulouse secured promotion to Ligue 1 and won the French Cup in 2023, demolishing Nantes 5–1 in the final. This past season, the club finished 10th in Ligue 1, continuing its commitment to a scouting model built on data and performance metrics.
Comolli now joins the most decorated club in Italian football, with 36 Serie A titles and two Champions League trophies, at a time of internal restructuring. Juventus ended a turbulent campaign in fourth place, securing Champions League qualification, but the season was also marred by managerial changes. After dismissing Thiago Motta, the club appointed Igor Tudor in March.
The appointment of Comolli signals Juventus’ intent to modernize its approach and return to consistent success both on and off the pitch.
