Nick Woltemade believes Juventus' possession-based football will suit him better than Newcastle's as the German striker prepares for a possible debut against AC Milan.

Nick Woltemade has wasted little time introducing himself to Juventus supporters. The tall German striker is already training with his new teammates after completing a loan move from Newcastle United and could make his debut in Sunday's huge clash with AC Milan.
Woltemade arrives in Turin after a difficult first season in England. He initially impressed at Newcastle before struggling badly during the second half of the campaign, and the German believes Juventus' style of football could be a much better fit for his qualities.
"I'm very happy to have joined a Juventus team that likes to keep the ball and dictate the pace. I think I'll be able to express my qualities better in such a team," Woltemade said. " Besides, it's the biggest club in Italy, and it's also important that we've won two games in the first two rounds."
From Newcastle struggles to a fresh start in Turin
Woltemade was never Newcastle's first choice when the English club searched for a striker. Benjamin Šeško, Viktor Gyökeres and Liam Delap were all higher on their list before Newcastle eventually turned to the German.
His profile is certainly unusual. At 1.98 metres tall, Woltemade has the physical dimensions of a traditional centre-forward but is also comfortable with the ball at his feet and likes to become involved in combination play.
Asked to describe his footballing influences, the 24-year-old picked two players who perhaps explain his own style perfectly.
"I took a lot from Zlatan Ibrahimović. I really liked his style because he was a tall striker, but he had great technique," Woltemade explained. "I also like my friend Kai Havertz. I want to learn something from everyone and improve in every way."
Juventus will now hope they can unlock the version of Woltemade that Newcastle only saw in flashes. His first opportunity could arrive immediately, with AC Milan visiting on Sunday night in one of the biggest matches in Italian football.
