Guglielmo Vicario has left Tottenham for Juventus on loan, becoming Luciano Spalletti's eighth signing as the Turin giants rebuild after a disappointing season.

Juventus have continued their major summer rebuild by bringing Italian international goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario back to Serie A.
The 29-year-old arrives in Turin from Tottenham on loan, with Juventus also securing an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
For Vicario, the move represents a return to Italian football after three years in England and allows him to establish himself at one of Serie A's biggest clubs.
He becomes the eighth new signing of an extremely busy summer for Juventus and coach Luciano Spalletti.
Vicario returns home after three years at Tottenham
Tottenham signed Vicario from Empoli in 2023 for approximately €20 million, with the goalkeeper quickly becoming an important member of the London club's squad.
His current Tottenham contract runs until June 2028, meaning Juventus have initially chosen the less risky option of a season-long loan before deciding whether to keep him permanently.
Vicario already knows Serie A extremely well.
Before moving to England, he represented several Italian clubs during his career, including Udinese, Venezia, Cagliari, Perugia and Empoli.
His performances at Empoli ultimately earned him the move to the Premier League, but three years later he is returning home with considerably more experience.
Juventus are rebuilding after a painful season
Vicario's arrival forms another piece of a much larger reconstruction taking place in Turin.
Juventus finished only sixth in Serie A last season, a result far below the standards traditionally expected at the club.
Spalletti has therefore been given significant backing in the transfer market, with Vicario becoming signing number eight before the beginning of the new campaign.
The immediate objective is clear. Juventus want to return to the Champions League, although expectations surrounding the club mean supporters will inevitably hope for more if the new-look team starts strongly.
Bosnian wonderkid Alajbegović among players to watch
One of the most intriguing additions to Spalletti's squad is Kerim Alajbegović.
Juventus invested almost €32 million in the 18-year-old Bosnian talent following his rapid rise and impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup.
His development will be closely followed during the season, with Juventus hoping they have secured one of the brightest young players from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
While Alajbegović represents a major investment in the future, Vicario provides experience for the present.
After a summer of significant changes, Juventus are approaching the new Serie A campaign with a very different squad and a clear objective: returning to Europe's elite.
