After 553 days sidelined by a serious knee injury, Juventus forward Arkadiusz Milik has finally returned to full training, marking the beginning of his long-awaited comeback.

Arkadiusz Milik has taken his first major step toward returning to competitive football. The Juventus striker trained with his teammates yesterday for the first time in 553 days, ending a year-and-a-half nightmare caused by a severe knee injury.

The 31-year-old Polish international has endured a grueling recovery since being sidelined, and his absence was so long that some fans had almost forgotten he remained part of the squad. Milik’s contract with Juventus runs until June 2027, and the club is cautiously optimistic about his full recovery.

Milik joined Juventus from Marseille in 2023 and has since made 75 appearances, scoring 17 goals across all competitions. Coincidentally, his international record with Poland mirrors that tally — 17 goals in 73 caps. Before his injury, he was known for his sharp finishing and reliable movement inside the box, traits Juventus have missed during his absence.

Although he has resumed full training, Milik is not yet ready for match action. The club will take a cautious approach to avoid setbacks as he rebuilds strength and rhythm after such a long layoff.

Juventus is currently seventh in Serie A, eight points behind leaders AC Milan. Under new coach Luciano Spalletti, who took charge in late October, the team has recorded five wins, three draws, and one defeat in all competitions. The coming weeks will be crucial, with matches against Bologna, Roma, and Pisa before the end of 2025.

For Milik, the worst seems finally behind him — and if his recovery continues smoothly, Juventus fans could soon see the Polish striker back on the pitch where he belongs.
