Kevin De Bruyne's wife is reportedly scouting homes in Naples as the Manchester City legend holds talks over a free transfer to Serie A giants Napoli this summer.
Kevin De Bruyne could be headed to Napoli this summer, and it appears his wife Michelle is already one step ahead—house-hunting in Naples as her husband explores a new chapter in his career.
After a decade of glory with Manchester City, the 33-year-old midfielder is set to become a free agent when his contract expires. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, De Bruyne’s wife has been looking at properties in and around Naples, suggesting the Belgian is seriously considering a move to Serie A.
The city is familiar territory for the De Bruyne family. Not only have they holidayed in Naples regularly, they also used to visit Dries Mertens during his time at Napoli, and De Bruyne even got married in nearby Sorrento.
Napoli are reportedly ready to offer De Bruyne a two-year contract. With Antonio Conte expected to take charge and the club pushing for another Serie A title, the timing could be ideal for De Bruyne to make the switch to Italy.
If he does join, he would link up with Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour, forming a revamped midfield in a side that’s been reshaped to return to the top of Italian football.
Though De Bruyne has received lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and the MLS, reports suggest he remains focused on continuing his career at the highest level in Europe.
