Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has added another major achievement to an extraordinary season.
After helping Paris Saint-Germain win a second consecutive Champions League title, the Georgian star has officially been named Player of the Season in Europe’s biggest club competition.
The award follows a campaign filled with goals, assists, and decisive performances when PSG needed him most.
Kvaratskhelia finished the tournament with 10 goals and seven assists in 16 appearances, numbers that placed him among the competition’s most productive players.
His impact increased even more during the knockout stages.
Against Chelsea, he scored three goals and added an assist.
Against Liverpool, he contributed one goal and one assist.
Against Bayern Munich, he produced two goals and another assist.
And in the final against Arsenal, he won the penalty that allowed Ousmane Dembele to bring PSG back into the game.
The 25-year-old also delivered important contributions earlier in the competition against teams including Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham, Sporting, Newcastle, and Monaco.
Supporters have long called him "Kvaradona", and this season he produced numbers worthy of the nickname.
His performances have already created another discussion.
After dominating Europe’s biggest competition and winning another Champions League title, Kvaratskhelia now looks certain to enter serious conversations around the Ballon d'Or.
PSG spent around €80 million to sign him from Napoli last January.
Today, that investment looks like one of football’s biggest bargains.
