Kingsley Coman praises Harry Kane’s versatility at Bayern Munich, comparing him to Robert Lewandowski and highlighting how Kane’s style benefits the team.
Robert Lewandowski left an indelible mark at Bayern Munich, scoring an astonishing 344 goals and providing 73 assists in 375 appearances before joining Barcelona in 2022. His departure left fans wondering who could possibly fill his shoes at the top of Bayern’s attack. However, Harry Kane has quickly erased those doubts, delivering incredible performances since his arrival.
The English striker’s numbers are already more impressive than Lewandowski’s during the same period, with 64 goals and 21 assists in his first 65 appearances for Bayern.
So, what’s it like to play alongside two such prolific forwards? While both are exceptional, Kingsley Coman revealed that playing with Kane is easier. The French winger explained that Lewandowski is a more traditional striker, while Kane’s versatility makes him an all-around contributor to the team’s play.
"Lewandowski constantly demands the ball and more crosses, so you essentially play for him. Kane, on the other hand, involves wingers in the game, creates attacks, provides assists, and finishes brilliantly. For me, there’s no easier striker to play with than Harry Kane," said Coman, who has often been used as a substitute this season.
Bayern Munich, currently dominating the Bundesliga, plays against Borussia Mönchengladbach this afternoon. The match pits Bayern against a mid-table opponent, with Gladbach sitting 8th in the standings.
