During a charity gala organized by PSG, Kylian Mbappe bought a painting of Pele for 520,000 euros. The painting, titled "O REI" (the king in Portuguese), measures 200x150 cm and was created in 2023 by contemporary artist Alexandre Hopare.

The auction was conducted by Artcurial in support of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation this Thursday in Paris. Starting at 5,000 euros, the painting attracted six potential buyers, with bids reaching around 300,000 euros. It was then that PSG forward Kylian Mbappe and his friend Achraf Hakimi escalated the bidding war, much to the amazement and delight of the audience.

Mbappe's determination saw him secure the painting for 520,000 euros, marking the highest sale of the charity evening. The total amount raised was 2.7 million euros, which will be donated to charitable causes.

It’s noteworthy that the brilliant French striker recently bid farewell to PSG and is expected to continue his career at Real Madrid.
