Kylian Mbappé names Cristiano Ronaldo and Zidane as dream teammates

Kylian Mbappé continues to shine in his first season at Real Madrid, playing a pivotal role in the club’s 3-0 victory over Pachuca to clinch the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The French superstar opened the scoring, showcasing his knack for performing in big matches and contributing to coach Carlo Ancelotti’s record-breaking haul of trophies.

After the match, Mbappé reflected on Real Madrid’s past and shared the names of players he wished he could have called teammates during his career.

When asked about his dream teammates, Mbappé didn’t hesitate to name Cristiano Ronaldo. "I’ve played with great players: Messi, Neymar, Griezmann, Pogba, Benzema," he said. "It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo."

Although Ronaldo remains active, now playing in Saudi Arabia, Mbappé acknowledged the unlikelihood of them teaming up: "It’s going to be very complicated now. But I was lucky to play against him, a legend of the sport."

Mbappé also named another legend, Zinedine Zidane, as someone he wished he could have shared the pitch with. "I would say Zinedine Zidane," he said, paying tribute to the former Real Madrid star who achieved legendary status as both a player and a coach at the club.

During the interview, Mbappé also addressed rumors of interest from other clubs, particularly Liverpool, before his move to Real Madrid. He dismissed the speculation, stating that if Real Madrid hadn’t been an option, he would have stayed at Paris Saint-Germain.

"I went to the biggest club in the world," Mbappé insisted. "I’ve always said it was the only club I would have left PSG for. If I hadn’t been able to go to Real Madrid, I would have stayed at PSG all my life."
