Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid academy players for training during the international break, helping Carlo Ancelotti manage absences due to injuries and international duties.
Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid’s academy players on Tuesday as the club held its first training session of the November international break. With eight players on international duty and seven others sidelined by injury, head coach Carlo Ancelotti relied on academy members to bolster the session alongside the French star.
The session saw 15 absences in total, including international call-ups for Jude Bellingham (England), Antonio Ruediger (Germany), Eduardo Camavinga (France), Luka Modric (Croatia), Arda Guler (Turkey), Vinicius Jr (Brazil), Fede Valverde (Uruguay), and Brahim Diaz (Morocco). Injuries further depleted the roster, with Aurelien Tchouameni, Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, Lucas Vazquez, Rodrygo Goes, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao all unavailable.
Militao, who recently suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, was the only injured player absent from Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility as he prepares for surgery. Meanwhile, Fran Garcia trained separately in the gym as a precaution with Real Madrid’s next La Liga fixture scheduled for November 24 against Leganes.
With Mbappe, who was left out of Didier Deschamps' France squad for the second consecutive time, Ancelotti took advantage of his presence and enlisted academy players to fill in the gaps and complete the training.
