Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has signed a record-breaking deal until 2031, earning €20 million gross per season with bonuses and a €1 billion release clause.
Lamine Yamal has signed the most lucrative contract in youth football history, committing his future to Barcelona until 2031. The teenage sensation’s new deal includes staggering figures and solidifies his place as a cornerstone of the club’s future.
Despite receiving interest from some of the wealthiest clubs in the world, Yamal's loyalty to Barcelona has never been in doubt. His contract includes a €1 billion release clause, underlining the club’s commitment to keeping him long term.
According to Spanish media, the 16-year-old will earn an annual gross salary of €15 million, with estimated net earnings of around €8 million per year. On top of that, he received a substantial signing bonus of €25 million, which will be paid in installments throughout the duration of the contract.
When the bonus is factored in, Yamal’s total gross salary rises to €20 million per season. The deal also includes multiple performance-related bonuses, giving him the potential to become Barcelona's highest-paid player in the near future.
Currently, that title is held by Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong, but Yamal is already on track to surpass them if he continues his meteoric rise.
