Barcelona expects €950 million in revenue this season. Laporta says club will have no restrictions in the summer market and confirms a new deal with Lamine Yamal.

Joan Laporta is confident Barcelona are entering a new financial era and insists the club will have both the freedom and the resources to strengthen their squad during the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking to Catalan broadcaster TV3, the Barcelona president said the club has nearly completed its economic recovery, following a remarkable season in which Hansi Flick’s side won all three domestic trophies.

"This season we will generate €950 million in revenue. I’m convinced we are fully aligned with the financial fair play rules and won’t have any limits on salaries or transfers," said Laporta.

The president made it clear that Barcelona are ready to respond if rival clubs strengthen their squads, promising changes in the team this summer.

"There will be quite a few changes. We will reinforce the team, as our competitors certainly will. They now know we have the best squad," he added.

Laporta confirmed that a new contract with Lamine Yamal is already agreed and will be signed when the teenage sensation turns 18.

"We’ve reached an agreement with Lamine Yamal. He has accepted our proposal and will sign the deal when he turns 18."

He also provided updates on the futures of other key players.

"We’re finalising talks with Iñigo Martínez and Raphinha. Raphinha will stay—both sides want it. He’s very committed to our project. We’ve also made a renewal offer to Wojciech Szczęsny and hope he accepts."

However, Nico Williams, a major transfer target last summer, is no longer on the club’s radar.

"Last year we wanted to sign Nico Williams, but now we’re looking at other players," Laporta concluded.
