Sports presenter Laura Woods opened up about her terrifying three-year stalking ordeal, revealing her stalker sent photos of her front door while she was live on air.

Laura Woods has revealed shocking details of the relentless stalking campaign that left her living in fear for years — including the moment her stalker sent her chilling photos of her front door while she was live on television.

The award-winning presenter, 38, was harassed for over two years by Harneet Kaur, a 25-year-old Liverpool fan who became obsessed with her. Kaur’s disturbing behaviour included sending threatening letters, religious texts, and even an STI testing kit to Woods’ home. She was eventually jailed for 14 months and given a restraining order.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the ordeal, Woods told The Telegraph: “For three years, she would go to extreme lengths to make my life very uncomfortable. She once emailed me a video of my front door and wrote: ‘I know you’ve got three cameras in your house.’ I was terrified.”

Kaur’s campaign escalated in 2023, when she called the police claiming Laura had been “dragged into her house by a man with a knife.” Woods said she was constantly anxious, adding: “I started going through all the video footage to see if anyone was in there. It was relentless — I couldn’t understand how one person could do it all.”

The messages took increasingly sinister turns. Laura described receiving birthday cards that read: “Today’s the day you were born and tonight’s the night you’re going to die.”

Kaur was arrested twice in 2022, with police seizing her devices. However, she continued her campaign, sending threats to kill Laura’s dog and ordering unwanted food deliveries to her home. The ordeal left Woods “extremely anxious and low,” with what she described as “a real fear for my safety.”

Amid the emotional turmoil, fans were recently relieved to see Laura return to TV following a health scare in which she fainted live on ITV during coverage of England’s women’s international against Ghana. She was replaced on air after collapsing but later reassured viewers that she had fully recovered.

Her fiancé, Adam Collard, confirmed she was “okay and with the right people.” The couple, who welcomed their son Leo in January, have endured an emotional few years after suffering a miscarriage in 2023 — an experience both have since spoken about publicly. They became engaged on a Cornish beach last summer and plan to marry next year.

Reflecting on those dark times, Laura wrote on Instagram: “We really had some awful times last year, but this big, beautiful man got me through every one of them.”

Despite everything, Woods has returned to the screen stronger than ever, continuing to front ITV’s football coverage and earning admiration from fans for her courage and resilience both on and off the air.
