Lautaro Martínez is being investigated by the Italian FA for alleged offensive remarks after Inter’s defeat to Juventus, but no concrete audio evidence has been found yet.
Lautaro Martínez, the Inter Milan captain, is under investigation by the Italian Football Federation’s Prosecutor’s Office for alleged offensive remarks following his team's 1-0 defeat to Juventus. However, no clear audio evidence has yet been provided to substantiate the claims.
Lack of concrete proof
While Martínez was reportedly frustrated after the loss, the case against him currently relies on a vague video recording without clear audio. Prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè has yet to find sufficient evidence, and investigators are still searching for a definitive audio recording to confirm the accusations.
Lautaro denies allegations
Speaking after Inter’s victory over Genoa, Martínez defended himself and denied using inappropriate language.
“I never insulted anyone. What happened really bothered me. I try to teach and pass on respect to my children. Those who know me know what kind of person and father I am. I am very calm,” said the Argentine forward.
No impact on upcoming Scudetto clash
Regardless of the outcome, the investigation results are not expected to be concluded before Inter’s crucial Serie A clash against Napoli on March 1. Martínez will remain available for selection as Inter continues its push for the Scudetto.
