Croatian coach Igor Tudor has quickly addressed the issues that plagued Lazio under his predecessor, and now the Romans can dream of European cups once again.

Maurizio Sarri's tenure at Lazio has been disappointing this season, leading the club to appoint Croatian expert Igor Tudor last month. The 46-year-old from Split has proven to be a perfect fit, achieving five wins, one draw, and one loss in his seven Serie A matches so far, amassing 16 points. No other team has collected more points in this period.

Only the champion, Inter Milan, has matched the number of points that Tudor's Lazio has achieved. Tudor has practically fixed the team’s issues immediately.

Just last month, it seemed unlikely that Lazio would secure a spot in European competitions this year. Now, the team sits in seventh place, enough to qualify for the Europa League. They are only four points behind Atalanta, who are vying for a Champions League spot.

Igor Tudor brings extensive coaching experience, having managed Hajduk Split, PAOK, Galatasaray, Udinese, Hellas Verona, and most recently, Marseille.

In previous years, he also served as an assistant coach at Juventus and has often been linked with the Turin club. It wouldn’t be surprising if he one day sits on the bench of the Old Lady, where he had a fruitful playing career, making 174 appearances and scoring 21 goals over seven years as a central defender.

Meanwhile, Sarri is now being linked with other Italian clubs that might be searching for a new coach in the summer, including Bologna.
