Slovakia international Leo Sauer could be heading to the Bundesliga during the summer transfer window, with VfB Stuttgart and TSG Hoffenheim both showing strong interest in the Feyenoord winger.

According to t-online.de, citing German media reports, the 20-year-old has emerged as a target for both Bundesliga clubs following his impressive development over the past year.

Stuttgart see Sauer as attacking reinforcement

German magazine Sport Bild reports that Stuttgart are looking to strengthen their attack ahead of next season's UEFA Champions League campaign, with Sauer among the players under consideration.

The Slovak international has reportedly impressed the club with his pace, direct dribbling and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations.

Sauer remains under contract with Feyenoord until 2028, and the Dutch club are reportedly seeking a transfer fee of around €7 million.

Hoffenheim already agree personal terms

Stuttgart are not alone in the race.

According to Sky Germany, Hoffenheim have already reached a verbal agreement with Sauer on a contract running until 2031.

However, the Bundesliga club have yet to agree a transfer fee with Feyenoord, meaning negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing.

Germany already know what Sauer can do

Sauer has also made a strong impression at international level.

German media highlighted his outstanding display during Slovakia's 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Germany in Bratislava last September.

Operating from the left wing, Sauer was one of Slovakia's best performers and repeatedly caused problems for the German defence with his pace and direct attacking play.

The 20-year-old developed through the academies of Slovan Bratislava and MŠK Žilina before joining Feyenoord in 2024.

Last season, he gained valuable experience in both the Eredivisie and European competitions, strengthening his reputation as one of Slovakia's brightest young footballers.

With Stuttgart preparing for Champions League football and Hoffenheim pushing to complete an agreement, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining the next step in Sauer's rapidly progressing career.
