Robert Lewandowski joins Cristiano Ronaldo as the only players to score 50+ Champions League goals after turning 30, reaching the milestone in Barcelona’s 5-0 win over Young Boys.

In a dominant 5-0 victory for Barcelona over Young Boys in the 2nd round of the Champions League, Robert Lewandowski reached a remarkable milestone. The Polish striker scored two goals, including the first and fourth of the match, and joined an elite group that previously only included Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lewandowski is now the second player in Champions League history, after Ronaldo, to score 50 or more goals in the competition after turning 30. With his two goals last night, Lewandowski reached 50 goals since his 30th birthday, while Ronaldo holds the record with 68.

Overall, Lewandowski has now scored 96 Champions League goals, having netted his first in 2011 while playing for Borussia Dortmund in a 3-1 loss against Olympiacos.
