Liverpool remain in the race for four major trophies this season after a dominant EFL Cup win over Tottenham. Can they achieve a historic quadruple?
Liverpool continued their impressive run by thrashing Tottenham 4-0 in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit. Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Virgil van Dijk sealed their place in the final, where they will face Newcastle United on March 16.
But the EFL Cup is just one piece of the puzzle for Arne Slot's side, who are chasing four major trophies this season.
The Premier League title is firmly within reach as Liverpool sit at the top of the table, six points clear of second-placed Arsenal with a game in hand. They will play their rescheduled fixture against Everton on Wednesday, followed by a home clash with Wolverhampton in the next round.
In the Champions League, Liverpool topped their group and have already secured a spot in the Round of 16, positioning themselves as strong contenders in Europe’s elite competition.
Their quest for a domestic quadruple continues in the FA Cup as well, where they will visit Plymouth Argyle on Sunday for the fourth round of the competition.
With Arne Slot at the helm and the squad firing on all fronts, Liverpool are poised to make history and deliver a season to remember for the fans at Anfield.
