Liverpool have stepped up their interest in 18-year-old PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye, who is reportedly open to a move to Anfield.

Liverpool have identified a new major transfer target, with the English giants seriously interested in Ibrahim Mbaye, the 18-year-old winger regarded as one of Paris Saint-Germain's brightest young talents.
According to RMC Sport, Liverpool have stepped up their efforts in recent days and have already informed PSG of their interest. Direct talks between the two clubs could follow as the Premier League side explore the possibility of bringing Mbaye to Anfield.
The Senegal international is reportedly attracted by the prospect of joining Liverpool, something that could strengthen the English club's position in potential negotiations.
Mbaye remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2028, meaning the French champions face no immediate pressure to sell.
PSG could demand more than €50 million
French reports have placed Mbaye's potential transfer value at between €40 million and €50 million, although information from Germany suggests PSG could demand more than €50 million for the teenager.
RB Leipzig have also shown interest, but the Bundesliga club are currently unwilling to proceed if PSG insist on a price above that threshold. Leipzig recently sold their leading star Yan Diomande to Real Madrid for €140 million.
Porto are another club monitoring Mbaye's situation. The Portuguese side reportedly value a potential deal, through his agent Jorge Mendes, at around €30 million.
Porto would face a significantly more difficult task competing financially with a club of Liverpool's stature. They see Mbaye as a possible replacement for Rodrigo Mora, who is reportedly moving closer to a transfer to Roma.
Mbaye already established in PSG's first team
Despite being only 18, Mbaye has already made 42 first-team appearances for PSG, scoring four goals and providing four assists.
His emergence has attracted attention from several European clubs and Liverpool now appear ready to become serious contenders for his signature.
The Premier League giants are looking for new solutions on the wings following the departure of Mohamed Salah.
PSG winger Bradley Barcola is another player on Liverpool's radar, but the French club's high valuation has made a potential deal difficult. Mbaye is therefore becoming an increasingly attractive alternative.
Liverpool continue summer rebuild
Liverpool have already added three players to their squad this summer.
French defender Jérémy Jacquet and Spanish youngster Víctor Muñoz have joined the club, while Uruguay international Ronald Araújo became Liverpool's latest signing on Monday.
Mbaye could represent another significant investment as Liverpool continue reshaping their squad and look to secure one of PSG's most highly rated young players.
