Former Italian striker Luca Toni is a huge admirer of Slovenian star Benjamin Šeško.
Luca Toni was once an exceptional goal scorer who, despite his height, was considered the complete package – a great finisher, as well as being very agile and technically skilled for someone of his stature.
Today, Toni works as a pundit for Italian TV. Ahead of tomorrow's match between Leipzig and Juventus, he spoke in an interview for the German club's website about two strikers who share similar attributes with him – Benjamin Šeško and Dušan Vlahović.
"I’m a big fan of Benjamin Šeško. He’s already a top player, even though he’s still very young. I’m really looking forward to the duel between him and Dušan Vlahović. I think they are among the most talented young strikers in Europe. They each have different qualities, but in the end, they are both strikers with heart and soul. Benjamin Šeško might be a bit less of a typical 'number nine' than Vlahović, but he has a very bright future ahead of him," said Toni, a former player for giants such as Bayern, Juventus, and Fiorentina.
Toni went on to discuss the differences between Slovenia's and Serbia's top stars.
"Dušan Vlahović is more dangerous in the box because he’s more agile there. Despite his height, Šeško works excellently with the midfield and the rest of the team. He’s primarily a striker, but he’s also a versatile player who can make a difference anywhere on the field. He just needs to become a bit more consistent in front of goal," said Toni, concluding.
"If you could combine Šeško and Vlahović, you’d get the perfect striker."
