PSG coach Luis Enrique celebrated Barcelona’s El Clásico victory with visible excitement after immediately asking for the final result.
Luis Enrique once again showed how strong his connection with Barcelona still is.
After PSG secured an important victory in France, the Spanish coach immediately asked journalists about the result of El Clasico and then enthusiastically celebrated Barcelona’s triumph over Real Madrid.
The reaction quickly spread across social media and became a huge viral hit.
Barcelona officially confirmed another La Liga title after defeating Real Madrid 2:0 at the Camp Nou.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring with a brilliant free kick before Ferran Torres added the second goal that secured the championship with three rounds remaining.
At the same time, PSG were also under pressure in an important league match against Brest.
The Parisian side eventually secured a narrow 1:0 victory and stayed alive in the fight for the French title ahead of Lens.
The winning goal arrived only seven minutes before the end, which meant emotions remained high inside the PSG camp after the final whistle.
Yet Luis Enrique clearly had another result on his mind as well.
While leaving the pitch and heading toward the press conference area, the Spanish coach first asked reporters about the outcome of Barcelona’s clash against Real Madrid.
When he learned Barcelona had won, he immediately raised his arms in celebration and shouted:
"That!"
The video of the moment exploded online within minutes.
Barcelona supporters especially loved the reaction because it highlighted how emotionally connected Luis Enrique still feels toward the Catalan giants.
The former midfielder has a complicated history in Spanish football.
During his playing career, Luis Enrique represented both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He spent five years in Madrid before making one of the most controversial transfers in Spanish football history in 1996 by joining Barcelona directly from their biggest rival.
At Camp Nou he later became club captain and one of the biggest fan favorites of his generation.
His coaching career strengthened that legacy even more.
Between 2014 and 2017, Luis Enrique guided Barcelona to multiple major trophies, including two La Liga titles, three domestic cups and the club’s last Champions League triumph.
Even years later, his emotional reaction showed exactly how much Barcelona still means to him.
