Luka Sučić has been named MVP of the month for Real Sociedad after impressive performances in La Liga, despite having no goals or assists yet.

Luka Sučić (22) has been named Real Sociedad's most valuable player for September, the Basque club announced on their social media channels. The Croatian international earned the MVP title after strong performances against Real Madrid (0-2), Valencia (3-0), and away at Mallorca (1-0) and Real Valladolid (0-0).

Sučić, who left RB Salzburg this summer in a €10 million transfer to Real Sociedad, has already made six appearances for the La Liga side. Despite Real Sociedad currently sitting in a disappointing 14th place with only eight points, Sučić's contributions have not gone unnoticed.

While he hasn’t scored or assisted yet, Sučić has been a constant threat to opponents. He hit the woodwork twice against Real Madrid, and against Mallorca, he was highly dangerous and provided a brilliant pass for a teammate. Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil previously stated that Sučić would need time to adapt and earn his place in the starting lineup.

It seems that Sučić has successfully integrated into the team. After a few appearances from the bench and missing out in the second and third rounds of La Liga, he has since become a regular starter, playing 75 minutes against Real Madrid, 90 minutes against Mallorca, 61 minutes against Valladolid, and 75 minutes against Valencia.
