Mallorca, Benfica, and other former clubs of Andrija Delibašić pay tribute to the late Montenegrin striker, who passed away at 43 after battling illness.
RCD Mallorca has paid tribute to Andrija Delibašić, their former striker, who sadly lost his battle with illness. The former Partizan and Montenegro international passed away at 43, prompting heartfelt messages from clubs he played for during his career.
"We deeply regret the passing of Andrija Delibašić, a former player of our club. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones," Mallorca wrote on their official channels.
Delibašić joined Mallorca from Partizan in 2004, spending four years with the Spanish club, though much of his time was spent on loan at Benfica, Braga, AEK Athens, Beira Mar, and Real Sociedad.
Portuguese giants Benfica also expressed their condolences, remembering Delibašić’s stint with the club from 2005 to 2006, before he was loaned to Braga.
The football world continues to mourn the loss of a player who left a lasting impression in several leagues, particularly in Spain and Portugal.
