Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot tied the knot with Claudia Lopes at Portugal’s 18th-century Palace of Queluz, celebrating their love in a lavish ceremony before returning to football duties.
Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has officially married his longtime partner Claudia Lopes in a spectacular ceremony at the historic Palace of Queluz in Portugal.
The 26-year-old full-back is enjoying a break from football following a disappointing 2024-25 season at Old Trafford. However, off the pitch, Dalot had plenty to celebrate as he exchanged vows with Lopes in one of Portugal’s most romantic and iconic settings.
The couple’s celebration took place in the lavish surroundings of the Portuguese Riviera, with friends and family enjoying the festivities well into the night. Although it’s unclear whether any of Dalot’s club or international teammates — including Cristiano Ronaldo — were in attendance, the joyous atmosphere was shared on social media through photos and videos of the ceremony.
In the shared footage, the newlyweds can be seen exchanging vows, cutting their wedding cake, and dancing among loved ones. The ceremony marks another milestone in Dalot’s relationship with Lopes, which began in 2020 and saw them move to Italy together during his loan spell at AC Milan.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Clara, in late 2024. Now officially husband and wife, they are expected to enjoy their honeymoon before Dalot returns to Manchester United and begins preparations for the upcoming season under new coach Ruben Amorim.
Dalot is expected to play a key role as Amorim rebuilds the squad during a busy transfer window. For now, though, the versatile defender is embracing a well-earned celebration of love and family.
