Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana saw his Lamborghini seized for lacking insurance. He has 14 days to resolve the issue or risk the car being auctioned or destroyed.
Andre Onana has suffered another off-pitch mishap as his £350,000 Lamborghini Urus was impounded by police for being uninsured.
The Manchester United goalkeeper reportedly had a friend driving the luxury SUV when it was pulled over in Hale Barns, flagged by an ANPR system for not having valid insurance. The vehicle was swiftly loaded onto a recovery truck.
Onana now faces a race against time to recover the vehicle. If not insured and claimed within 14 days, the Lamborghini could be auctioned or crushed.
A source told The Sun: "Onana has made a few errors this season and ensuring his car properly seems to be the latest one."
The 29-year-old was back on the pitch shortly after, putting the incident aside as he helped Manchester United beat Athletic Club 4-1 in the Europa League second leg, securing a place in the final against Tottenham.
Onana joins a list of United stars with car-related run-ins. In 2021, Paul Pogba had his £300,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith seized for using Monaco plates in the UK, resulting in a £220 fine and three points on his licence.
